Preventing missile (bullet) attack

Standard float glass has little protection against ballistic attacks. But if it is equipped with multi-layer polyvinyl butyral (PVB) film, it can be used as bullet-proof security glass. This is because the intermediate film of bullet-proof laminated glass helps to keep most glass structures together. Membrane also helps prevent debris from splashing on the impact side of the attack, causing further damage.
