On October 1, 1949, the People's Republic of China was founded. On December 3 of the same year, the fourth meeting of the Central People's Government Committee accepted the proposal of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and decided that October 1 of each year is the great day when the People's Republic of China was proclaimed to be founded, as the National Day.

At 3 PM on October 1, 1949, more than 300,000 people in Beijing held a grand ceremony in Tian 'anmen Square to celebrate the founding of the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China.  Immediately held a military parade and mass parade. Commander-in-chief Zhu De reviewed the army, navy and air force, and announced the "Command of the PLA Headquarters", ordered the Chinese People's Liberation Army to quickly eliminate all remnants of clothing, liberation of all unliberated territory. On the same day, Beijing Xinhua Broadcasting Station carried out live broadcast of the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China in Tian 'anmen Square. This is the first large-scale live broadcast in the history of Chinese people's broadcasting. I am very proud to be Chinese by birth.
